Everyone has a story and something to say. However, many people have difficulty expressing their emotions or finding healthy ways to talk about the struggles and successes they experience. Obviously, it’s always a good idea to try and seek help from friends, family, and professionals, but you can also find a creative outlet to express yourself.
Personally, theater, improv, games, and sports are some of the ways I work through the stress and emotions in my life. For you, it may be drawing, podcasting, photography, or anything you enjoy. The point is to create a space and an activity that allows you to de- stress and be yourself. In the next few weeks, try exploring new areas to find your creative outlet. If you already have one, consider doing it more. There is no shame in saying no to someone or stepping away from something to focus on yourself and your passions.
